It's now 19 days until the start of AmWeek on July 1, 2012. At this date we still have room for more campers. So if your friends have expressed interest in attending camp, but aren't sure whether they can get in, tell them YES! Point them at the online registration at http://AmWeek.org/Signup/ Please tell everyone about the "Sliding Scale" for camper fees to encourage young campers and underemployed campers to register. We don't want the camper fee to be the only reason someone doesn't come to camp! Our Sliding Scale is a very significant scholarship discount, as low as $150 for the full program including room and board. See details at http://AmWeek.org/Registration/ Be sure to read the information for registered campers: http://AmWeek.org/Campers/ This page includes general information about camp, plus links to information you need, including: * Waiver & Release Form: the YMCA camp requires every person on the camp grounds to have provided a signed Waiver & Release Form or you won't be allowed into camp. http://AmWeek.org/CJG%20Waiver%20Form.pdf This includes staff and committee members!! If you have not already mailed the paper to BACDS Registrar 130 EAST Grand Ave, South San Francisco, CA 94080 or scanned the form after you have signed it and emailed the scan image to Mary please do so immediately. We must have that signed form from you or you will not be allowed into camp, and there are no refunds after June 17. * Housing at Camp, Allergies: tent spaces are available in the meadow within our village at camp. Please let Diane know if you would like to bring your own tent and camp instead of sharing a dorm room. If you have not already done so, please tell Diane about any food allergies. The camp Chef is already planning for vegetarian no-pork, and similar dietary preferences. But if you have a medical allergy and have not already told us about it, please do so immediately! * Hospitality & Transportation: if you have not already done so, please notify our Hospitality & Transportation Coordinator Sharyn if you: - can offer a place to sleep before or after camp - can offer a ride to or from camp - are arriving in town early and need a place to stay before camp - are staying after camp ends Friday and need a place to stay * Camp Color: the color for this year's camp is Purple. (Feel free to make use of that information in any suitable way :-) Be creative! Or just relax and go with the flow. >>>>Thursday Night is SPARKLE NIGHT! Bring Sparkly duds or buy some at the Clothing Boutique at Camp. Let your sparkling personality show! * Auction / Raffle: Please bring items to donate to the Auction that helps us fund the youth scholarship sliding scale and underemployed campers. Please also bring cash or check for purchasing goodies in the Auction or the Clothing Boutique! * Daily Schedule: the Draft schedule for camp is now posted on the web site, showing the daily schedule. This is subject to change, but it's probably pretty close. * Arrival Time at Camp: Campers can arrive at camp beginning 1:00pm on Sunday, July 1. Sliding Scale Youth & Underemployed Campers: Please plan to arrive at camp at 1:00pm on Sunday July 1 to help with camp setup. * Before Camp, After Camp: plan to arrive in the San Francisco area ahead of time and stay a while after camp for sightseeing or visiting dancer friends.
